Wow! It's hard to believe that spring is finally here. And, that means the farmers markets are open! So, be sure to stop
by and visit our booths at the downtown market every Saturday, or at Aksarben every Sunday.
As many of you already
know, the majority of our tea line is custom blended, by hand. I create unique blends year-round, but am especially active
during the market season. Don't be shy! Ask me to create something for you. I'll probably say, yes, unless it's simply
a replication of a competitor's blend -- that's not all that interesting to me. I like a challenge. There are exceptions to
my rule. I'm happy to create a twist on "common industry blends" like Earl Grey varieties.
During the winter,
I was busy writing and publishing two books, but took a little time to think about this site. There are very few pictures
-- mostly because taking pictures of tea leaves isn't all that exciting, and incredibly time-consuming. But, I understand
that you might be interested in seeing some. I'm planning an overhaul of the current site. At present, I believe I can make
the changes in 2015. Between now, and then, I'll update this site with information about ALL of our blends and industry
Our current custom line includes more than 100 blends that you can't get anywhere else, but here. Why?
Because I like blending for you in small batches, and keeping things simple. The blends are fresh, unique, fun, flavorful,
and reasonably priced.
That's about it for now. The market opens at 8 a.m. tomorrow, and I've got blending and
packaging to do. Four fifteen comes way too early on Saturdays.
Enjoy your time. Drink some tea or lemonade,
and relax in a hammock this summer. That's what I do.
